Who Owns BetVictor
BetVictor is one of the older names in the business. The company grew out of Victor Chandler, a London bookmaker founded in 1946, moved offshore to Gibraltar in the 1990s, and rebranded to BetVictor in 2013. The operating company today is BV Gaming Limited, and it is that entity the British licences sit under.
Canada is handled separately, as it has to be. Ontario requires an operator to register locally rather than passporting in a European licence, so the Canadian-facing business runs through BV (Canada) Limited, registered with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario with an operating agreement in place with iGaming Ontario. The Real Sister Sites — and Why They Are Out of Reach
These four share BV Gaming's British licence. Each one is a genuine sister site by the strict definition. None of them appears in the Ontario operator directory, which means none of them can legally take a Canadian account.

Same Licence, Different Owner: the Betano Case
Betano is the brand most often listed as a BetVictor sister site, and the label is half right in Britain and simply wrong in Canada. Betano belongs to Kaizen Gaming, a separate company. In Great Britain it operates as a licensing tenant on BV Gaming's permission, which is a commercial arrangement rather than common ownership — the same way a shop can trade under a landlord's alcohol licence without the landlord owning the shop.
In Ontario the arrangement does not carry over. Betano is registered with the AGCO in its own name, appears in the iGaming Ontario directory as its own operator, and shares nothing with BetVictor: not a wallet, not a bonus history, not an exclusion list, not a support desk. Who owns BetVictor?

Which BetVictor sister sites can Canadians actually use?
In practice, none of them. Heart Bingo, Parimatch UK, talkSPORT BET and Smooth Spins all run on the group licence in Great Britain and are not registered in Ontario, so they do not appear in the iGaming Ontario operator directory and are not open to Canadian accounts. BetVictor is the only brand from the group serving Canada.
Is Betano a BetVictor sister site?
